Ibiza beach clubs on the west coast: a guide from Port des Torrent to Cala Tarida

The west coast does Ibiza beach clubs differently from Playa d’en Bossa on the south side of the island. There are fewer of them, the music is quieter, and the main event is the sun going down into the sea rather than a guest DJ. Between Port des Torrent and Cala Tarida, four venues are well known, each in a very different cove.

This page describes the Ibiza beach clubs of the west coast from public sources: the venues’ own listings, booking platforms and the local press. It does not take bookings, and it does not quote prices, because those change every season. Check each venue’s own channels before you go.

Alma Beach, Port des Torrent

Alma Beach sits inside the small, sheltered cove of Port des Torrent. It is the most intimate setting of the four: a short crescent of sand, pines behind it, and the sunset straight ahead across the mouth of Sant Antoni Bay.

Booking platforms describe sunbeds and parasols, Balinese beds, a pool, table service and direct access to the sea. Over the years the venue has used several names for its food. Alma Sunset covers Mediterranean dining from the afternoon into the evening, with a DJ. Alma Eat is Life is lighter, seasonal cooking alongside yoga and meditation sessions. Alma Canalla and Brasas, a grill concept, appear in other listings. The music is described as dance, R&B and 70s and 80s. Listing sites give opening hours of 12:00 to 01:00 with the peak from June to September, though they disagree on whether it stays open year-round.

It suits a long lunch that turns into a sunset, without the scale of the bigger clubs.

Cala Bassa Beach Club

The largest venue on this stretch, Cala Bassa Beach Club (CBbC) occupies much of Cala Bassa. It has several restaurants and sunbed areas spread under the junipers. In 2026, according to local press, its beach bar opened in March and its Central restaurant on 24 April, and further areas, including a Mumm champagne area and the Portobello restaurant, followed on 15 May.

It suits a full day for a group, with everything on site. Arrive early in high season: the car parks fill by mid-morning.

Sunset Ashram, Cala Comte

On the rocky outcrop between the two main beaches of Cala Comte, Sunset Ashram faces the islets and the most famous sunset on the island. Some guides list it as “Sunset Cala Conta”. The 2025 season opened on 15 April. In the evening the rocks around it fill with people who came for the view rather than a table.

It suits the sunset itself. For an evening table in July or August, book well ahead.

Cotton Beach Club, Cala Tarida

Cotton Beach Club sits a few metres from the sand at Cala Tarida, on the widest bay of the five. The bay also has several other beach restaurants, which island guides recommend for an early dinner as the light goes.

It suits a relaxed day with children on the beach below and an early evening drink above it.

Ibiza beach clubs on the west coast: club or beach?

Every one of the Ibiza beach clubs on this stretch of the west coast sits on a public beach, so you can always swim, sunbathe and watch the sunset next to it for free. The clubs sell comfort: shade, a bed, service and a table. If you want both, many people take a towel to the sand in the morning and book lunch only.

For eating in Port des Torrent beyond the beach club, see where to eat. To compare the coves themselves on sand, shelter and sunset, use the beach finder.
